Delray Beach man accused of shooting at woman

DELRAY BEACH – Police have charged a man with attempted murder after he allegedly fired multiple shots at a woman this week.

Delray Beach police said that Reginald Lee Taylor drove to a residence in the 200 block of SW 14th Street Wednesday evening and pointed a handgun at the woman, who was not identified.

Police arrested Taylor, 32, and charged him with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm in public.

The woman told police that Taylor began firing shots as he drove away and that she ran to save her life. The woman and a witness identified Taylor out of a photo lineup.

Both said that Taylor used a blue Buick LeSabre that he frequently drove through the neighborhood.

Police investigators later met with and interviewed Taylor. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Taylor confirmed ownership of the vehicle, but he denied having any involvement with the attempted shooting.
