Reward offered to capture of gas station bandits

DELRAY BEACH Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest of two masked men who robbed a gas station convenience store at gunpoint on Jan. 18.

The robbery occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the Shell station, 2100 W. Linton Blvd., when the suspects used a large rock to prop open the door, police said. They ordered customers and clerks to throw their cell phones to the floor before robbing them, police said.

One gunman wore a dark-colored Marlins baseball cap and a black-and-white bandanna covering part of his face. The second suspect wore a black stocking cap. Both wore black gloves, police said.

Investigators have released surveillance video of the crime. They hope somebody will recognize and identify the two suspects.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery or the suspects is asked to contact Det. Stephanie Kearney at 561-243-7871 or Crime Stoppers at 800-458-8477.
