DLERAY BEACH – The George Bush Boulevard Bridge is expected to close from 6 p.m. July 30 to 5 a.m. Aug. 4  for repairs.

The Intracoastal Waterway drawbridge on George Bush Boulevard connects State Road A1A to Federal Highway on the mainland.

Motorists should use East Atlantic  Avenue and Woolbright Road in Boynton Beach.

The historic bridge was named after former President George H. W. Bush, who often vacationed in Delray Beach. As of 2004, the bridge averaged 8,368 crossings per day, according to bridgehunter.com.
