DELRAY BEACH – More than 150 supporters attended the “Girls, Pearls, Hats & Heels” luncheon recently in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The special Centennial event, one of the Library’s many events, included a fun-filled, afternoon of shopping the latest fashions in shoes and accessories from top local designers.

The day featured a spectacular buffet lunch at the recently refurbished Delray Dunes Country Club and complimentary bubbly flowed all afternoon.

This trunk show included several local stores and vendors and women shopped at their leisure all day long. The attendees won many outstanding raffle prizes and silent auction items. The more than $6,500 raised will benefit the Delray Beach Public Library and the Bethesda Hospital Foundation for breast cancer treatment and educational programs..

The Delray Beach Public Library, the Bethesda Hospital Foundation, Saks Fifth Avenue and Powderblu Salon & Spa co-sponsored the event.
