Deadline Extended for Public Comments on Beach Parking Meters Fees

By Staff Reports

DELRAY BEACH – The City’s Parking Management Advisory Board wants the public’s thoughts on whether to extend the time for on-street parking meter fees east of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Officials will hear comments at a 5:30 p.m. meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Environmental Services Administration Building, 434 South Swinton Ave.

Those unable to attend may e-mail Scott Aronson, Parking Facilities manager, at aronson@mydelraybeach.com.

For comments to be provided to the Board in advance of the meeting, the deadline for e-mail has been extended to noon on Monday, Nov. 26.

Beach area parking meter fees are now required between 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday through Sunday. A resident suggested the city extend the meter fees to midnight daily to generate additional revenue.
