Missed but Never Forgotten

By Staff Reports

The Boca Raton High School Class of 1979 held a memorial service for their deceased classmates recently.

The brief event, at the Delray Beach Memorial Gardens, featured solos by Steve King, scripture reading and words of reflection. The most chilling moment was when they released about a dozen blue and yellow balloons were released in the air at the end of the program. They are trying to get the exact numbers of members who have passed.

“They often say at funerals that, ‘You will be missed but never forgotten. Well, I don’t want them to be forgotten,” said Mable McGowan Taylor, who coordinated the service. “We will miss them but I want it to be known that their memories will never be forgotten.”
